CHWA & London Arts and Health interview with SK Marley in celebration of Pride
To celebrate Pride Month 2025, and to highlight the worsening issues of transgender* rights in the UK, S. K. had a chat with the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance (CHWA), and London Arts Health, about the Our Transcapes project.
They explored S. K.’s research, which queers prehistoric British archaeology and current-day interpretations of their cultures. They particularly chatted about what we can learn from these prehistoric peoples, who lived in non-dual ways (living without strict or static binary oppositions), to challenge present-day popular anti-transgender* narratives and the nature/culture divide that Western cultures can be ruled by.
As a developing artist and creative facilitator, S. K. has followed the work of CHWA for some time, learning how to facilitate events inclusively and focus on the mental wellbeing of participants. They particularly found the CHWA’s Creative Health Quality Framework useful while designing Our Transcapes for Queer Natures.
